I’m Razvan – a 40-year-old author and researcher obsessed with the liminal space where myth, terror, and the unexplained collide.
Since childhood I’ve been drawn to stories that leave the lights on: cosmic horror that reminds us how fragile we are beneath an indifferent sky, and sprawling dark-fantasy worlds built on centuries of whispered fears. My bookshelf is ruled by the slow-burn dread of Shirley Jackson, the psychological unraveling of Stephen King, the incomprehensible vastness of Lovecraft, the elegiac ghosts of Peter Straub, and the sharp, modern bite of Joe Hill and Tamsyn Muir.
I spent over a decade in paranormal and mysteries journalism. From 2012 onward I wrote hundreds of in-depth features for outlets including Club Enigma, Misterio (where I later became Senior Content Manager), Ancient Theory, and Haunting Realm. Those years chasing haunted locations, declassified files, and eyewitness accounts honed my obsession with separating signal from noise – and with telling the stories that refuse to be dismissed.
To date my articles, essays, and fiction have been read by well over a million people worldwide.
When I’m not writing, I keep six beehives – because apparently one lifetime isn’t enough to be surrounded by stinging, winged things – and I spend as much time as possible in wild places where cell service dies and the old stories still feel close.
Beyond the keyboard, my two core passions are beekeeping and exploring the natural world. What started as a small beekeeping effort in 2021 has grown into managing six busy beehives.
My current active projects:: The Horror Collection, HellsLore, DemonWiki, and A to Z Monsters.
